CHAPTER 6 - BIOGRAPHY

hi hi hellooo, im back on another chapter of the blog, Biography. Biography text is a text tells about the whole or parts of someone’s life. It encompasses the person’s detailed life events, like where she/he was born, grew up, what has she/he achieved in life or how, and later her/his death.

The function of biography text are : 

1. To know a person’s story  life 

2. To give information and educate the readers. 

Generic Structure of Biography 

- Text Orientation (Introduction) : It is the opening paragraph. It gives the readers  background information of the person. 

- Events : Event is as chronological order. 

- Re-Orientation (Closing) : It consists of a conclusion or comment of the writer. It tells about the achievement or the contribution of the person.

Language Features of Biography Text 

Simple Past : 

He lived in Puncak Jaya 

He worked hard 

He refused violence 

Adjective :

He was generous 

She was beautiful woman 

His/her village was very cold

Sal Priadi

Salmantyo Ashrizky Priadi, better known by the stage name Sal Priadi, was born on April 30, 1992. Although initially studying in the field of Law at Pelita Harapan University Surabaya, Sal decided to resign and pursue a career in the music world.This step brought Sal Priadi to become one of the famous musicians and actors in Indonesia. Sal Priadi's music career began in 2015 when he started uploading song covers on his SoundCloud account, with the support of Mahatamtama and Derry from the Coldiac music group. His official debut in the music industry began with the single "Kultusan" which was released in 2017 through GZZ Records. Since then, Sal continues to release poetic and characterful music works, including popular songs such as "Ikat Aku di Tulang Belikatmu" and "Amin Paling Serius" which he sang with Nadin Amizah. In 2020, Sal Priadi released his first studio album titled Berhati, which received a warm response from his fans.This album shows Sal's ability in creating songs that touch the heart and attract many listeners.His success in the music world is also reflected from various nominations in Anugerah Musik Indonesia, including in the Best Male Pop Solo Artist category. Besides having a career in the music world, Sal Priadi also spreads his wings to the acting world.His debut in the film "Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas" in 2021 as Tokek showed his versatile talent.Not only that, Sal also played in various film projects and other web series, including "Ketika Berhenti di Sini" (2023) and "Nightmares and Daydreams" (2024). In his journey, Sal Priadi has received various awards and nominations, both in the field of music and acting. In 2021, he was nominated for the Maya Cup in the Selected Newcomer Actor category. Sal's unique and high-quality works make him one of the young talents that should be considered in the Indonesian entertainment industry. Sal Priadi is known for his distinctive voice and poetic lyrics that are able to hypnotize his listeners. His appearance on stage always steals attention, especially among young Indonesians who feel connected to his works. With his creativity and dedication, Sal continues to carve his name in the world of music and film, bringing a significant impact on the entertainment industry of the country. And the last new work from sal priadi he released a new song entitled "gala bunga bunga matahari" this song is about where we miss someone who has left us but with this song we can ask the contents of our hearts and with this song we can also know that the lyrics of this song are mixed with religious knowledge.
